The kitchen cabinets were done by Crown Kitchens in Port Williams. Here's a few shots of the kitchen going up and the fine craftsmanship of Greg and Terry at Crown Kitchens.

The first few cabinets are up.

The cabinets are almost all up.

Now they are working on the doors. Notice the corner cabinet with the glass? Here's a tip... you may find that a good glass shop can sandblast a regular piece of glass for you a lot cheaper than buying a piece of specialty frosted glass. If the backside of the glass is too rough, put a coat of clear varnish on it to smooth it out.

The kitchen is starting to take shape.

The island is a custom design. We got 4" standard drill pipe cut by Hall's Maritime Welding, spray painted it, and Crown Kitchens integrated it into the cabinet. It worked out pretty well.

The kitchen almost done... all that's left is to finish installing the appliances, install the under-counter lighting, and a skirt board that goes around the base of the upper cabinets just to finish it off. Sometime in the future we'll add a slate backsplash as well.
