Framing - Inside
With the walls going up inside it's starting to feel more like a home.
Now we can really see where all the rooms are going to be and get a feel for how big (or small) they really are.
The stairs are up and the floor over the laundry room is done.
It would have been nice to timber frame that section but the conventional joists here will be needed to hide some wiring, plumbing, and ventilation stuff.
In the basement the inside of the concrete walls has been prepped with foam and strapping. It's ready to finish some time in the future.
The back wall of the kitchen is framed up on the right with the bathroom/bedroom wall done behind it.
We put in a propane fireplace so that is framed up. We'll finish it with slate and put a nice timber mantle on top.
View towards the main entrance. The Arlington Timber Frame Company crew added the post and brace on the right to balance the look of the entrance.
It wasn't part of the original plan.
The master bedroom wall upstairs being framed up by Brooks and James.
The bathroom, walk-in closet, and master bedroom walls are done.
There is a storage area above the closet and is accessible from the entry area to the master bedroom.
This view is from the office side towards the bedroom.
