The electrical work is being done by Gary Parish from GNL Electric. The construction is pretty unconventional so he's got his hands full trying to figure out how to get the wiring done. It requires quite a bit of forethought but he seems to be handling it just fine.

But the house isn't even finished framing and there's wires there you say? Yup. Everything is built inside-out so we can get the drywall behind the timbers and have a nice finished wall inside. The lower level is not too bad but the second level will be a bit more of a challenge. Once the inspector gives his stamp of approval, the wall is insulated and closed up.

We want some lighting in the roof so here Gary is working on running wires in the roof before it's completely closed up on the outside. It would be pretty tough to run the wires after the house is all closed up.

The same was done for the future kitchen and dining room. Once the house is closed up on the outside and the interior walls are built the wiring methods will go back to being more conventional.

All the wiring is done and it all comes back to here... Gary's got all the wiring laid out and connected to the main electrical panel. We put in a panel that has a generator section so that some circuits can be isolated in a power outage and connected to a generator with the flick of a switch. There's no generator yet but we're all set for one. Great job, Gary. Thanks for all your hard work.
